Our Zooming® low-temperature drying process enables up to 100% flavor retention so you don’t sacrifice quality by going to a powder. We make an emulsion using starch and other flavor friendly ingredients while liquid flavors must use potentially hazardous and expensive diluents to deliver the same flavor actives. CoolZoom can deliver stronger flavors enabling lower use rates, which means we can manufacture less pounds and pass the savings to you.

We haven’t tried everything so we don’t know. We based our development off of whey and plant proteins.

The concentrated, strong masking system allows us to deliver enough flavor to take advantage of the masked base. The flavors have also been custom formulated to work well with the masking technology.

We studied the performance of flavors in the application and adjusted the flavor formulations based on the interaction with the protein matrix.

Because of our process our flavors are typically stronger than liquid flavors (2-4x). We can further concentrate the flavor to meet your needs (5-10x).

Yes, if that is the best solution for your product. In many instances, we find an all powder flavor can deliver equivalent or improved flavor impact.

Yes. In many instances we have an advantage since many liquid flavors require propylene glycol and the EU limits propylene glycol usage to less than 0.1%. CoolZoom can avoid using propylene glycol.

CoolZoom has a flavor delivery system powered by a patented low-temperature drying process called Zooming®.  CoolZoom can deliver stronger, more protected flavors that overcome the protein reactions that impact taste.  By delivering more aroma & tasteCoolZoom flavors can create a consumer-preferred experience. 

The starting use rate is 0.2  0.6% in a bar formula.  You have to use less, ALOT less! 

No, just the opposite.  The use rates are so low that the cost in use will be competitive or put money back in your pocket.

We consistently taste our prototype bars to gauge long term performance.  In our prototype formulas, we’ve been able to deliver taste stability.   Since not every bar formula is the same, we may need to make a few adjustments to deliver the best, longest-lasting taste.   

Makes your life easy.  Proteins react and change over time.  Using a masking flavor allows you to neutralize the base and build the aroma & taste on top of it. 

They will, if too much is used.  These maskers have been painstakingly designed to work with a wide variety of CoolZoom flavors.  Since the maskers are soooooo concentrated, the way to achieve optimal performance is to deliver it inside the flavor system.  In the end, we provide you with the masker inside the flavor.
