Our Zooming® low-temperature drying process enables up to 100% flavor retention, so you don’t sacrifice quality by going to a powder.  We make an emulsion using starch and other flavor friendly ingredients while liquid flavors must use potentially hazardous and expensive diluents to deliver the same flavor actives. CoolZoom® can deliver stronger flavors enabling lower use rates, which means we can manufacture less pounds and pass the savings to you.

 

With a conventional spray drying process, much of the aromatics are lost due to the higher drying temperature compared to Zooming®. In addition, Zooming® produces a denser particle than conventional spray drying, which results in less oxidation of flavor aromatics. These particles also solubilize in water more easily than conventional spray dry particulate, which are most often hollow spheres.

We studied the performance of flavors in application and adjusted the flavor formulations based on the interaction with various bakery matrixes. 

Because of our process our flavors are typically stronger than liquid flavors (2-4x).  We can further concentrate the flavor to meet your needs (5-10x).

Yes, if that is the best solution to for your product.  In many instances, we find an all powder flavor can deliver equivalent or improved flavor impact, and flashpoint issues may be avoided. 

Yes.  In many instances we have an advantage since many liquid flavors require propylene glycol and the EU limits propylene glycol usage to less than 0.1%.  CoolZoom® can avoid using propylene glycol.

CoolZoom flavors can be used in all bakery segments including dry mixes, sweet goods, bread and rolls, icings, fillings and fruit preps.

Yes.  We off Natural Type and WONF flavors, as well as organic certifiable flavors.
